Microphysiotherapy

Microphysiotherapy

With this holistic, very gentle and purely manual form of treatment the micro-physiotherapist locates old, not entirely healed injuries by touch and thus stimulates the body into self-regeneration.

The French physiotherapists and osteopaths Daniel Grosjean and Patrice Benini developed micro-physiotherapy in close collaboration with embryologists, physicists, and biologists.

Their theory is based on embryology, a branch of evolutionary biology. With the fertilized egg as its starting point, it describes how three simple ground tissues develop within the first two months into muscles, organs, blood vessels, nerves, the brain and the skin. Neighbouring structures drift apart, but form lifelong energy links.

This explains the occurrence of seemingly unrelated secondary symptoms in remote body structures and control systems whose origins would not be comprehensible on the basis of traditional scientific thought. Hence, any trauma experienced - be it through an accident, toxins, infections, radiation, or emotional strain – can cause problems far away from the actually affected areas.

Usually, the human body is able to adapt to its surroundings and to defend itself against external influences. However, if a harmful irritant is stronger than the body’s defence system, the life function of the affected body tissue will be disturbed.

The approach deals with the actual origin of the symptom, so it does not matter how long ago an injury occurred, or if it is consciously remembered. It is not about relieving the symptom, but about deliberately deleting harmful information.
No longer suppressing or shifting symptoms can lead to surprising results at times. However, this is not a miracle cure  – it is nothing more than a natural mechanism.
According to the type of symptoms, two to three sessions at intervals of four to six weeks are recommended.

Microphysiotherapy can be suitable as a treatment of

• disturbances of the locomotor system
• acute injuries
• conditions of pain
• general fatigue
• attention disorders
